Jan (Jacek) Rostowski (Trustee) was born in London, and has worked as an economist at Kingston Polytechnic, London University and the LSE until 1995, when he joined the Central European University in Budapest. In 2007 he was appointed Minister of Finance by Donald Tusk serving six years until 2013 and became Deputy Prime Minister of Poland in 2013. In 2011 he was elected to the Polish parliament as MP for Warsaw. Jan was the longest serving Minister of Finance in Poland, and attended 60 European Union Councils of Finance Ministers (EcoFin), giving him unparalleled experience of how the EU actually works. Currently he teaches at Sciences Po in Paris and the Central European University.
