Leadership Challenges in Uncertain Times

Moderated by Ruth Girardet

The seminar in November 2020 will consider some of the fundamental issues driving our rapidly changing political, economic and social landscapes. We will begin by looking at the state of democracy and Western Liberalism, and then address the underlying tensions between equality and freedom. In doing so, we will explore what effective leadership looks like in challenging times.

Throughout the discussions, we will draw on the roles of personal and collective responsibility in driving effective change. By welcoming participants from a variety of sectors, we hope to broaden their perceptions of how they can thrive in our professional and public spheres.
