Professor Sir Nasser David Khalili – globally-renowned scholar, collector and pioneer of cultural philanthropy. His mission is to promote intercultural and interfaith unity through the power of art, culture and education. Over the course of five decades, he has assembled eight of the world’s most significant collections – together known as the Khalili Collections – each meticulously conserved, researched, published and (the highlights) exhibited worldwide and digitized. As a committed Jew, with knighthoods from two pontiffs, as well as being the custodian of the world’s most comprehensive collection of Islamic art, he has most aptly been referred to by HM Government as “the embodiment of interfaith harmony”. Neil MacGregor – art historian, writer and broadcaster. Neil was Director of the National Gallery, London, from 1987 to 2002, and of the British Museum from 2002 to 2015. From 2015 to 2018 he was Founding Director of the Humboldt Forum, Berlin, and is now Advisor to the J. Paul Getty Foundation in Los Angeles and the CSMVS Museum in Mumbai. Among his publications are Seeing Salvation: A History of the World in 100 Objects; Germany, Memories of a Nation; and Living with the Gods.
