This closed event is an expert consultation on human rights, constitutional law and devolution in the UK, organised on behalf of the EU Delegation to the UK.

The consultation will focus on the UK Government’s actions following commitments made in the 2019 Conservative Manifesto to review constitutional law and democracy in the aftermath of Brexit. In 2020 the UK Government established an Independent Human Rights Act Review (IHRAR), to examine the relationship between domestic courts and the European Court of Human Rights, and an Independent Review of Administrative Law (IRAL). The event will also provide insight into the current context of the UK regarding human rights.
This event aims to gain a deeper understanding of the overall objectives of the review processes, the state of play, as well as risks, and opportunities.
