Aspen UK is delighted to be involved in the Aspen Seminar for Young European Leaders, co-organised by the Aspen Initiative for Europe, Aspen Institute Central Europe, and Aspen Institute Romania. It will take place in Liblice, Czech Republic, on September 9-12, 2021.
This is the fifth event to bring 25 European and international young leaders together to discuss topical matters, common values, and European identity challenges.
It will convene a diverse group of 25-35 year olds nominated by Aspen European partners. They will participate in a series of round-table discussions, delving into the most pressing issues that Europe faces today using the unique Aspen method of text-based dialogue.
Aspen UK is thrilled to send the following panellists:
LAURA SILE is a trainee pharmacist and an advocate of public health. Laura is a volunteer for a mental health helpline, a mentor for students across the country, a life coach and a Dementia Friends champion. Laura has taught English in Tanzania, has ran workshops to girls in India and has set up a buddying group for young Syrian women seeking refuge in the UK to support them with settling down in the UK.
SHAYAN TALABANY is Kurdish-British, a graduate of the School of Oriental and African Studies in London, and now the Head of Programmes for the Conservative Middle East Council.
