Aspen UK is delighted to announce the dates of our in-person Executive Leadership seminars for 2023. The theme for the 2023 seminars will be Leading Through Adversity.
March 16 – 18 – Madingley Hall, Cambridge
June 15 – 17 – University of Wales Trinity Saint David, Lampeter, Wales
October 19 – 21 – University of Wales Trinity Saint David, Lampeter, Wales
We will be hosting our first seminar of the year at Madingley Hall, Cambridge, and the following at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, Lampeter, as part of our three-year partnership with the university.
Aspen UK’s Executive Leadership seminars bring together groups of distinguished participants who use the neutral forum as a space for reflection and challenge, to think about themselves as leaders, and the current and future state of society. Our curated mix of participants brings together leaders from different professional backgrounds, different levels of leadership responsibility, and a diversity of geographical, cultural, and age backgrounds. Our commitment to identifying and engaging leaders outside of traditional networks puts diversity at the core of our seminars.
Having held the first of our in-person Executive Leadership seminars since 2019 to great success in October 2022, we are excited to see what thought-provoking debates will be sparked by the convenings in the future. On their experience of an Aspen UK Executive Leadership seminar, two participants said:
“There is no better time for Aspen UK. We need an organisation that brings diverse people together to connect and understand each other better, and my experience made me recognise their mission is essential for today’s world.” – Nishi Somaiya, global co-head of Growth Equity investing Goldman Sachs
“The Aspen seminar didn’t only help me to revisit and rethink the values shaping my environment, but it also provided a space for an inspiring and fun exchange of ideas.” – Rita Dayoub, Health in Conflicts Specialist and Academy Fellow, Chatham House

About Aspen UK Executive Seminars
We use the original Aspen method of text-based, professionally guided conversations to help participants reflect on their leadership skills, evaluate their own ideas and values, and explore effective solutions to social challenges. A range of texts to provide an insightful starting point for a productive exchange of ideas. Participants receive the readings in advance and are asked to read them carefully.
The readings are chosen by Aspen UK’s expert moderator faculty, whose role is to guide the discussion.
In-person seminars follow the Chatham House Rule of non-attribution. This creates the space required for intense, interactive conversations which encourage insight, clarity and innovative thinking.
