This month the Aspen Institute in the UK celebrates its 5th anniversary – five years of building a powerful Aspen UK community, five years of creating a network of more than 10,000 people who span most regions, industries, and generations in the UK. We have welcomed people to our public events from more than 30 countries, and established a group of leaders who are more aware of their personal agency and the power of their own values. We’ve loved getting to know you all – have felt privileged to have heard your ideas, about your experiences, and learned from you.

We are also taking this opportunity to share some updates about the Aspen UK team. Olly Chapman, Aspen UK’s Director of Seminars, will be taking over from Penny Richards, Aspen UK’s CEO. Reflecting on her time with Aspen UK, Penny says:
“I have loved the last five years with Aspen UK – watching it grow from a nascent dream to a mature and stable organisation, linked to some of the finest people I know. I have learned more than I ever expected, and am proud of the quality of our programming, and the magnificent team which is committed to continuing our operational excellence and thoughtful values.
I’m soon moving on – leaving Aspen UK, the Rising Leaders Fellowship and our other leadership work in the immensely capable hands of Olly Chapman. I’m becoming an Aspen UK Trustee and Advisor, which gives me the opportunity to stay connected, and to continue to celebrate all that we have become, and all we will build in the future.”
