Pierre Mercier (Aspen UK Vice-Chair) is a Managing Director and Senior Partner of the BCG (The Boston Consulting Group) which he joined in 2001 in Paris after leading a technology start-up for 4 years and working for another consultancy. Pierre has been based in London since 2008.
Within BCG, Pierre focuses on strategy and transformation of large consumer facing businesses. His main clients include leading retailers, fashion and luxury brands, and consumer product manufacturers, based in Europe and North America as well as Asia. His work is increasingly centred on ‘digital’ and the changes this is bringing about for consumers and companies. He also led BCG’s global supply chain practice for many years and authored many thought pieces on the future of supply chains featured in publications like the HBR and BusinessWeek.
Pierre dedicates a significant amount of time to pro-bono work, and is a trustee of Charity: Water, a Charity based in New York and London that is focused on bringing clean water to 1 billion people.
He holds an MBA from H.E.C., a leading European business School based in Paris.
