The Aspen Institute in the UK is delighted to announce our partnership with Mars Wrigley UK for the second edition of our series ‘Critical Conversations: the Climate Change Imperative’. This six-part webinar series will delve into the key issues in the climate debate, go beyond a surface-level discussion and try to provide practical solutions to some of the world’s most pressing problems.
We’ll cover a variety of topics, from renewable energy and climate finance to food systems and cell-cultured steak.
It is widely acknowledged that to resolve the climate crisis, both corporations and individuals need to act now. That is why we’ll be bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, local experts and community leaders to discuss these issues and look at solutions for the future. Our discussions will explore the UK context, while working out how to increase global collaboration in response to the climate crisis. While this series will discuss all aspects of climate change, we will be focussing on sustainability efforts and what we can do today to protect our planet in the decades to come.
Aspen UK is uniquely suited to hosting these discussions, driven by our values of inspiring change through dialogue and our unique convening power across geographies, ideologies and industries.
Our partnership with Mars Wrigley UK comes from a shared belief that a diversity of perspectives is necessary to find solutions to challenging and consequential issues of sustainability.
We’re starting this series with a conversation on ‘Scaling Up Innovative Solutions’. It will look at the potential of disruptive technologies to solve the climate crisis, and whether the current infrastructure is enough for their widespread use.
