Patrick Moriarty

Moderator

Patrick is an educational consultant and Anglican priest. For 12 years he was Headteacher at JCoSS, the UK’s only pluralist Jewish Secondary School, after a career as a teacher of Religion, Philosophy and Ethics and a leader in a range of schools in North London and Hertfordshire. An experienced school Governor in both primary and secondary schools and a Trustee of two educational charities, he is committed to excellence and inclusion across a wide range of educational settings and pathways.  He has a particular interest in technical and employment-focused learning, championing moves to afford it at least the same status as academic study. His deep knowledge of both Christian and Jewish communities allows him to contribute to a range of initiatives in both, including serving as Trustee of the Council of Christians and Jews (CCJ).  He has children aged from 9 to 29 and is a Deputy Lieutenant of Hertfordshire.
